The term “hacking” may well be ambiguous, but the “hacking” of the DNC and the “hacking” of John Podesta’s email were not about voting machines. Those machines are subject to state law and practice, and while I get the point about conspiracy theories and people believing that votes might have been changed, I have not read a single article in the MSM — meaning the Times, Post and WSJ — that asserts any truth to that. Instead, the assertion that “This proves beyond a doubt that the false belief that Russia literally hacked America’s voting system has been intentionally inflicted upon the public by the mass media propaganda machine” is its own conspiracy mongering, and is as irresponsible as the contact that it asserts to be true.
